Sheri Burris- Program Director
I feel very fortunate to have been raised in Potter Valley, attend Potter Valley schools and graduate from Potter Valley High School. I married my high school sweetheart and raised two wonderful children in Potter Valley whom I am very proud of. In 1984, I opened a licensed daycare in my home. I ran a daycare and preschool program for nearly 16 years. I had a wonderful and rewarding 16 years educating and being a part of our community's children and their family’s lives. As my children began to reach their teens I felt the need to structure my time between my Daycare and the need to be involved with my children. I volunteered at the Potter Valley Youth and Community Center and provided a safe place for teens to hang out after school. As our funding stream changed and we were granted a state funded grant for an after school program for children K-8th grade, I became the coordinator of our existing after school program (KUDOS 4 Kids). That was 8 years ago, since then, we have grown from about a dozen kids to over 80! Over the last 6 years I have become the Director of the after school program and Vice President of the PVYCC Board.
I love going to work and feel very fortunate to be working with the wonderful staff at our after school program. The best thing about my job is the kids. The rewards are endless, the smiles, hugs, laughter, learning and best of all when a kid says, "I love coming to KUDOS". Who we were to what we have become is a great accomplishment.

Breanna Odneal- Family Resource Coordinator
I was born and raised in Potter Valley and have always had a passion for the people within our small community. While living in Sacramento for college, I realized how much this community really meant to me and chose to move back. Since then, I have started a family and am excited to share our beautiful valley with them. I am available at PVYCC Mon-Fri from 8am-4pm for any questions you may have or any assistance you may need. I am trained in application assistance of all kinds and would love to talk to you all about all the amazing programs our county has to offer!
Sarah Guzman- Office Administrator
I began employment at PVYCC in 2012 as the 4-6h grade Kudos 4 Kids leader. Working with kids was a new endeavor for me but I soon fell in love with helping and being a part of the students lives. I fulfilled 2 school years until I had my second son and took some time off. At the perfect timing I saw we needed a new Administrative Assistant, and of course I jumped back in! I also became the interim Family Resource Center Coordinator until we found our amazing Breanna. Working at PVYCC has been so fulfilling in that I get be a part of these wonderful students and families lives lending a hand where needed and being involved in our community!
